Florida is probably the top holiday destinations in the world. In addition to the scary rides and roller coasters, there are also theme parks specializing in animals. One particular park has been created on the theme of Africa and when you enter it you feel as though you are in the animals’ natural environment. You can even take a Safari ride in one and get close up to lions, tigers, elephants and hippos.
You can go and experience a ride and feel as though you are actually part of the latest blockbuster film. There are rides for people of all ages, big and small; great care and attention has been given to including every generation of a family which has resulted in the Orlando theme parks being regarded as true family entertainment.
Another park has been created in the shape of a giant golf ball and it educates its visitors on new technologies and what they might expect to see in the future. Following on from this educational theme, they have also recreated a mini world community set out around a lake. You can call into each country and experience their local cuisine and culture and then every evening the lake explodes in a ball of spectacular fire as one of the world’s best firework displays is launched.
Water parks are also some of the most visited theme parks that you will find in Florida. There is an abundant supply of them in this area so you can’t miss them. They have massive lagoons with water slides and wave pools.
There is even a theme park full of whales and dolphins which give regular displays to the thousands of people that visit it every day. It has an underwater tunnel that gives you the feeling of being close to the underwater creators without going into the water. There is also the shark encounter that allows you pet a real life shark.
It is now easy to see why Florida has grown into one of the top tourist destinations in the world. A combination of the good weather and fantastic theme parks have created a holiday environment that is loved by millions of people world wide.

who choose to stay full time can have numerous reasons for doing so. They could be Disney employees thus enjoying the luxury of a very short journey time to work, since the majority of vacation rental villas are very well situated to access Walt Disney World and all it has to offer. Some residents own vacation homes in and around where they stay and they like to be close at hand to keep an eye on their property and look after their guests themselves. Others may have some kind of occupation related in some way to the hospitality/vacation industry. Then again you may just find some friendly folks who like the idea of having new and different neighbours every few weeks!
Having full time residents nearby can be a great thing. They very much enjoy visitors to their area and those who settle there full-time are well used to new neighbours every one or two weeks and are very friendly and keen to learn you are enjoying your stay and having a fabulous vacation.
Just generally walking about the resort your vacation villa is in, you are bound to pass some local residents who are always ready to greet you with a smile and genuinely wish you a “nice day”. If you have questions about the local area or attractions, I am sure you will find them only too happy to help.
That said, since these people are resident full time, one should always be remember to be courteous to them whilst still making the most of your vacation.

Generally there are safety and courtesy rules in all residential areas for “quiet times” at the pool. As a rule of thumb these tend to be 11pm-7am. One of the most tempting times to forget about these rules is for those visitors who have travelled from far away (e.g. U.K.) and need to make huge adjustments to time changes and body clocks. On the first morning of these guests’ vacation, they will tend to waken very early and it is strongly advised to resist the urge to come straight down to the pool until it reaches what everyone would agree is a slightly more reasonable time.
Stay in a resort based vacation home…
You will find a great many of Orlando vacation villas have been built in resorts that offer communal areas. These can include any combination of the following: a communal swimming pool (in addition to your very own private pool at your holiday villa); a games room; a fitness room; a shop; a café; basketball/volleyball courts; tennis courts; childrens play areas. Any of these areas offer the ideal opportunity to meet people from all over the world- both full time residents and other holidaymakers like you.
Showing your neighbours common courtesies will encourage them to extend a warm welcome when you return for another vacation at a later date and then your villa experience really will be like a “home from home” since you already know the neighbours!

From the point you arrive a short 20-30 minute drive from the airport will take you to your home from home for the duration of your stay. Hundreds of vacation rental villas are well within a 30-minute drive to all the main Walt Disney World attractions. Furthermore many of these can actually be found situated a mere 15-20 minute drive away. On the days you wish to explore other Orlando attractions e.g. Universal Studios or Sea World again your vacation villa will have you centrally and conveniently based to access these locations easily.
So close to shopping…
No one can visit Orlando and be able to resist the temptation of visiting some fabulous shopping malls. Again, less than half an hour’s drive away you can find yourself at Belz or the Premium Outlets or the Lake Buena Vista Factory Outlets or the Florida Mall. Let us not forget the more recently built Mall at Millenia for slightly more discerning tastes.
Sometimes you will want to take in the true value of your vacation rental villa and have a leisurely day at your holiday home relaxing by the pool, sunbathing, catching up with other members of your party who may have been indulging in different activities to you. Wouldn’t it be lovely at the end of such a relaxing day to go out with your party to a dinner show?
Evening entertainment is only minutes away…
In Orlando you are truly spoilt for choice and the variety of themes for the dinner show is endless to cater for everyone’s needs and tastes. To sample the Wild West there is Dixie Stampede or for those who enjoy cowboy movies then a trip to the Kissimmee Rodeo is for you. Step back in time to Medieval Times or a Pirate’s Adventure. With everything SO close at hand an Orlando vacation villa will allow you to “mix and match “your holiday to everyone’s delight - often combining several varied activities in the same day. Where else could you have breakfast by your own poolside, tour a shopping mall in the afternoon then eat dinner with Mickey and Friends at one of the wonderful themed character restaurants in the Walt Disney World theme parks before stepping out to watch one of the magical night time laser/firework displays only to return to the comfort and privacy of your holiday home to plan more activities for the following day?
