I am going on holiday with my family for 2 weeks at the end of august- one week in New York City, and the second week we aim to stay somewhere else, more relaxing, with either a villa and a pool or a beach nearby. Does anyone have any suggestions? We will have a rental car so we will be able to drive a fair distance away from New York, but not TOO far. thanks a lot in advance, we are really stuck for ideas!

The new jersey shore good beaches some with amusement park rides and you might be pleasantly surprised.
